How to easily search upcoming Events in Manila

I'm always looking for upcoming events in Manila. I'm  referring to events such as trade fairs, big sale or warehouse sales, workshops, seminars, trade shows  etc.   I really don't care about the topic or the items on sale because I think there will always be something that will be relevant or useful for me at a bargain.

The easiest way for me to  look for events is to directly search on the venue schedule.
I noticed that most of the big events are always conducted either in

World Trade Center http://wtcmanila.com.ph/events-calendar/
SMX     http://www.smxconventioncenter.com/
SM Megamall Megatrade Hall

WTC is updated but not all upcoming events is visible in SMX website. For SMX, look for both events and news section.

Here are other useful tips :
Always check the schedule at the beginning of the year and plan ahead.
Most of the events reoocur in cycles so don't forget their previous schedule
Some events charge registration fee or entrance fee. Pre-register if you want to save entrance fee as a walk-in visitor.
Bring calling cards
Bring smartphone or cameras to take some photos

Popular smartphone game in Philippines: Star Wars Trading Card Game

After the rise of candy crush and clash of clans, we experienced summoners war.Today,  i see people being hooked on a different kind of game called Star wars card trading game.

So far, these are the things i know about Star Wars trading game.

It is a game from Topps  who focuses on printed cards before. Now,they also  have  digital versions of cards. The game is different because you don't have too many button to press or hard levels and enemy bosses to defeat.  It is unique because you only need to  collect and trade cards as the name of the game suggests.  Everyday, credits will be given to you which you can used to buy packs of cards.  The thrill kicks in opening the card because there's a slim chance of getting a rare card.

One trading card game that I received is to always read the announcements on bulletin and star wars transmission. Another tip is to save credits for buying newly released packs.

The game is somewhat addictive and using real cash to buy more credits is really tempting.  It is an expensive game for other players but  some players were able to profit by offering the rare cards they obtained to other collectors for a few dollars.

Orhids in Philippines

I'll let you have a free peak on available orchids in orchid exhibits in Quezon City Circle this March 2015 .  The event is known as Flora Filipina Expo 2015.

Some of the pictures are taken in the commercial area where you can buy as low as 10 pesos for small cuttings and thousand pesos for an eye-catching, blooming orchid flowers.

2.Maganda
3.Mahabang buhok
4.Sexy or di sobrang taba

Masamang epekto ng Clash of Clans Addiction

Disadvantages
  • Nakamamatay
  • Gutom/Ulcer/eye strain and other Health problems
  • Relationship problems with GF/BF/Family/non-players
  • Unproductive time
  • Pagkapuyat
  • Laziness in work/being irresponsible in work
  • Wasted energy/electricity/battery

1. Pagbebenta or Buy and Sell

My favorite OPM wedding songs

2.Panalangin by Apo Hiking Society
3.Ngayon at Kailanman by Basil Valdez

Axolotl in Philippines

I found an axolotl (pronounced ACK-suh-LAH-tuhl) for sale in QC memorial cicle

Its pink and other fancy colors are very eye-catching. They're pretty unusual too up to the point that you will call them out of this world or aliens.

I made some research and found out that axolotl which is also called mexican salamander are endangered species now. Aside from its cool color, it also have a cool ability to re-grow its limbs.
This trait makes axolotl one of favorite subject of study in school and laboratory.
Axolotl eat mollusks, worms, insect larva, crustaceans and  small fish.

Others tag them as "Peter Pan" of animals since axolotl retain its larval form.

I'm not sure if it illegal to buy one in the Philippines given that this is an endangered specie but on you tube, I can see many pet lovers with axolotl on their aquariums.

Vanilla Plant for Sale in Philippines

Vanilla Plant for Sale in QC circle

Whenever I have a free time in Manila, I opt to go to malls and other famous attractions. This weekend, after finding out that some stalls in Manila Seedling bank moved to QC circle, I toured around QC memorial park.

Hortikultura 2015 event is still open for public last Jan 31, 2015 and around the venue are various plant stalls selling different kinds of ornamental plants and trees.

Vanilla Plant
.

One rare plant I found is Vanilla bean Plant. From the pods of this plant, you can derive the flavoring called vanilla.

Vanilla from Spanish Vania which means little pod

The picture above costs 1200 pesos according to seller.
In OLX, there are advertisements for vanilla plant that costs around 300 pesos but it might not as bisg as this.  Maybe other seller offer just a cutting so they can sell at less price.

By the way, you can reach QC circle by going down to Philcoa and taking the underpass near Philippine Cocont Authorit building. There are jeepneys in Trinoma/SM north that goes to Philcoa.
Buses going to Fairview will pass through  Philcoa also.
